Our Story

SARFATI

Originally from Montreal, it all started when Valerie, who wanted to rediscover the taste of smoked salmon from her childhood, decided to start her own business. After many successful but unsatisfying experiments, she realized that the best way to get the desired flavor and texture was to learn straight from the source: Montreal.
Valerie decides to go to Montreal to intern with the legend of smoked salmon, Mr. Frank, a Greek fishmonger, who will generously teach her his faith. This specialization was crucial for Valerie, because all the secrets of the recipe were revealed, he explained the techniques and procedures.

Armed with her new skills, Valerie flew back to Israel. In 2015, “SARFATI” was founded, a gourmet pleasure company. Valerie puts her new knowledge of fish smoking into practice, working tirelessly to achieve the desired flavor, which she eventually achieved.
She advertises her product on social media and shyly starts selling her artistic production.
Over the years, the company has grown in reputation and importance, and today Valerie’s son Yaakov joined, in order to help meet the growing demand and assist her in the entire production process and employee management.

In 2022, Valerie and Yaakov Bena open their factory in Shilat’s industrial zone
